Caroline went to visit her Great-Grandma over the weekend. They had lots of fun and Grandma even got to show off her great granddaughter at church, so I think the weekend was complete for her!
We spent the holiday in Indianapolis and Caroline had lots of fun with her cousins. There will be a new video to post as soon as Josh is home to load it (so funny!). The girls had lots of playtime together and it's really fun to watch them interact now.
We celebrated my 30th birthday yesterday and took a picture to mark the occasion. Caroline wore a little Polly Flinders' smocked dress to dinner that was mine as a little girl and looked so cute!
The word explosion has begun! Caroline has been teasing us for the last month by occasionally saying an identifiable word - mostly "Quack-Quack" anytime she sees a duck or yellow bird of any sort. But over the last week she is really beginning to say other words and mimic every word she can. I guess it all really started to happen when she began pointing at objects, and now she wants to know what everything is around her and tries to repeat the word you tell her. It's lots of fun and surprising how articulate she actually is when she repeats things back to you.
Well, it seems to be the rage, and I've certainly enjoyed "Today with Jack & Charlie"... so I thought I'd give it a try. Plus, I know our family will enjoy this a lot. We've moved to Cincinnati and are getting settled. Here's a picture of our happy mover. She does new stuff every day, but the latest new thing occurred at lunch today at the Steak & Shake. Caroline was having a grilled cheese sandwich - I always break off pieces for her and she eats them happily. But today, she decided she was ready to eat like an adult and took the other half of the sandwich and started putting those front chompers to good use, biting off bits just like you or I would (except she danced to the music in between bites... which I don't normally do).
