I gave Caroline her first hair cut last night. It was getting really long in the back so it was time... but I wasn't brave enough to take her to a salon (as much as she hates going to the dentist, I was just sure putting her in one of those chairs would not go very well). So, I took it upon myself! She kind of looks like a 1920's doll we've decided, and it was much easier to tame this morning.

Good move not going out to get it cut. I read that you really shouldn't take them until they are over 2 to avoid serious meltdown. The boys are in need of a third cut and I may have to do it myself as well.
OMG, she is even more adorable now!! How does she like it? I don't think I'm brave enough to do it myself. I've been contemplating a cut for a while now, but I just can't decide. Did you keep a lock of hair?
I did keep a lock of hair (it's a little ringlet!) and I cut it while she was playing in the tub... she was very busy and didn't seem to mind. Her hair is pretty forgiving since it all curls up anyway, so it hides the mistakes I'm sure that I made.
